Vovinam San Diego – Support Our Mission

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Greetings from all of us at Vovinam of San Diego, a private non-profit, volunteer-based organization in partnership with the Linda Vista Recreation Center since 2000, we have dedicated ourselves to a mission that extends far beyond martial arts training.

Our mission is to contribute to the local community, nationwide in the US, and globally, by building generations of children, young people, and families. We achieve this through the martial arts training program of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, which is anchored in a philosophy that promotes lucid intelligence, athletic body, noble mind, self-control, self-defense, self-esteem, and perseverance, all within a non-violent spirit.

We offer free traditional Vietnamese martial arts class year round to all at Linda Vista Recreation Center:

• Mondays / Wednesdays: 6:00 PM – 7:45 PM
• Fridays: 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM

In addition to our classes, we are actively involved in the community through:

1. Collaboration with the Van Lang, The Vietnamese Linguistics Center for Language and Cultural Education.
2. Performance with The Vietnamese Federation of San Diego through various community events such as Lunar New Year, Moon Festival and other community outreach activities.
3. Participation & performance in the Annual Linda Vista Multicultural Fair & Parade.
4. Organizing other community celebrations.
